Peter Salzman was born on October 15, 1974 on The Farm
in Summertown, TN. He grew up in the Pioneer Valley of
Western Massachusetts where he attended ARHS as a
wrestler, cross country runner, and tuba player.

Peter graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Cultural
Anthropology receiving departmental honors for a senior thesis
based on international fieldwork in the U.S., Israel, and Ukraine.

After graduation, Peter worked for his alma mater as a Hillel
fellow in association with the campus Rabbi and Chaplains'Office.

He then returned to Israel to study at Yeshivat HaMivtar in Efrat
learning Talmud, Torah, and Halacha during the year 1998 - 1999.

Currently residing in Greenfield, MA, Peter (a.k.a. Avniel) enjoys
making music, reading, tai chi, and web design and was an intern
at a radio station known as The River...
